Levitating Superconductor Speakers - A Futuristic Way of Emitting Sounds...

For his university project, James Coleman designed these futuristic levitating superconductor speakers that have a multitouch touchscreen wrapping them. Inside their base, the speakers have a simple electromagnet. The floating section of the speakers features a superconductor. When turned on, the upper side of the speakers starts floating, and when you turn the music off the speakers become whole again. The multitouch screen mounted in the base shows information on the music the user is listening to. Speakers float thanks to the magnetic field of the built-in electromagnet which induces a field in the superconductor.
