DRS unveils Armor X10gx Rugged Tablet...

DRS Technologies has introduced new rugged tablet namely the Armor X10gx that ideal for mobile worker. The tablet is made in magnesium alloy chassis that meet MIL-STD-810G standard, rated IP67, and certified for use in rail and port facilities, transportation, public safety, and other areas. The Armor X10gx tablet is water resistant that capable of up to 1 meter, dust-proof, and shock-proof. The DRS Armor X10gx mobile machine is boasts a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor, 2GB of memory (up to 4GB), a 64/80/160GB solid state drive, and an SD card reader. Rugged Armor X10gx is sports a 10.4-inch LCD display with resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels and support for resistive touch input and digitizer pen, HDMI, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, a fingerprint reader, and optional 3G and GPS module. Dimensions of Armor X10gx rugged tablet are 290 x 218 x 45 mm with weight about 2.2 kg. No word on pricing but it will be start shipping on September 15.
