Northern Lights Tonight Visible for Some...

SignOnSanDiego reports that "the aurora borealis will be briefly visible from the darkest areas of San Diego County late tonight; the sun produced a couple of large solar flares over the weekend, and both are capable of enhancing the aurora, or the 'northern lights."
  • The aurora is rarely seen in Southern California. But it occasionally happens. Countless people saw the lights in this region in August 2000.
