Toyota: #GrandeAffair

So this time, after a long time, there was something new done by the leading car manufacturers in Pakistan, named as Toyota for the blogger community in the country.

A few days back from the event, we the bloggers, received a pretty cool invite for the event. I like receiving this USB as an invite because locally we don't receive a pre-event goodie from a brand.
So the event was fully aimed to engage bloggers with first-hand, end-to-end experience of Toyota’s presence in Pakistan and were briefed on various aspects of the organization, such as the elaborate safety protocols in place. Which was really interesting because taking safety this serious tells how much the product is reliable.
After the informative session, lunch was served and then we were taken to an exclusive tour of the IMC's manufacturing facility where we witnessed the assembling of the Toyota vehicles and met the key IMC personnel from Pakistan and Japan, observed the globally acclaimed Toyota Production system in play.
Then we were given an opportunity to test-drive the Corolla Altis Grande and Fortuner to experience the exceptional on ground performance and features such as cruise control and paddle shifting gears.

There we were briefed on the new Corolla Altis Grande, and informed of the car’s superior continuous variable transmission technology that provides excellent performance and unmatched fuel efficiency in its class of vehicles. They also informed that the new Corolla variants being manufactured in Pakistan now have more than 60 percent local components. The new Corolla has 760 additional parts made in Pakistan.

Once we were done with all the activities and sessions at IMC, we were taken to the cruise ride for ending the day in a beautiful manner where music, food, dance and much more summed up the whole day.

Glimpse of the event:
